Welcome to this luxury condominium in the heart of the spectacular Canadian Rockies, in Canmore Alberta. Canmore is the gateway to Banff National Park , a mere 10 minutes from this UNESCO world heritage site. It is world-renowned for its majestic peaks and glacier lakes. Canmore Crossing condominium is located in the hub of downtown Canmore, and is steps away from the finest shops, galleries and restaurants of this quaint mountain town that I call home.

The condo was newly complete in the summer of 2004 and sports all the modern amenities of condo living with a rustic mountain style. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath luxury loft condominium features a 23-foot vaulted ceiling and an 8 foot window that provides a valley view of the surrounding magical peaks that perfectly frames magnificent Cascade Mountain . The panoramic windows are ideal to view the changing hues of light on the mountain from dawn to dusk. Delight in the stunning views whether you are pampering yourself in the rooftop hot-tub, bask on the sunny sofa or grilling at the propane barbeque on the balcony. The scenery pictures included are taken from either the balcony or the windows inside the unit with a simple digital, the photos really don't capture this stunning view.

With 950 sq feet of living space you will find the condo to be extremely comfortable and the river stone gas fireplace provides a cozy mountain retreat ambience. The fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with dishwasher, microwave, and everything you need and more to prepare your gourmet meal. The slate heated floor provides that additional extravagance in the kitchen. The stix dining room table adds a rustic mountain touch that is perfect for your family gathering or a romantic dinner.

The open master bedroom loft is a queen with a down duvet, lofty pillows and heated mattress pad to keep you cozy during the winter months. The unusual master bath is open to the bedroom and has a stand up shower unit and ample fresh towels. The second standard bedroom has a queen bed with a duvet and an adjacent shared bathroom. The unit in general is equipped with many many more amenities then you would find in a hotel room to make your stay feel like home, yet still a luxurious getaway.

DEPOSITS, PAYMENTS & SECURITY
To reserve dates a security deposit of $500.00 is required. This $500 will be returned after your departure within 1 week providing there are no damages, missing items or additional charges. The Paypal button above is provided for your convenience. Full payments are due 14 days prior to the arrival date. I accept VISA, M/C, AMEX and DISCOVER through PayPal transfers, as well as money orders, bank transfers or personal cheques. For PayPal transfers my email address is dani@banffdmc.com. Foreign cheques must be received 30 days in advance. All prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars.

HOW TO GET HERE
Calgary International Airport is Canada 's domestic hub for seven of North America 's major airlines. It is also well connected to international routes, with more than 200 schedule flights weekly between Calgary and major U.S cities and more than 25 flights per week to major international destinations. Our national carriers is Aircanada.com or the economical airline westjet.com.

Transfer time between Calgary International Airport and Canmore is one hour and fifteen minutes through the magnificent prairies and foothills to the Rocky Mountains .

DIRECTIONS TO CANMORE CROSSING, CANMORE ALBERTA

  • Depart airport, turn left at the first lights (north) onto Barlow Trail exiting the airport. Travel north two blocks until you reach Country Hill BLVD.
  • Turn left onto Country Hills BLVD. Continue on this road until you reach Stoney Trail. (At least 15 minutes drive to the other side of the city).
  • Turn left onto Stoney Trail, continue on Stoney Trail till you reach the Trans Canada Highway .
  • Turn Right (west) on the Trans Canada Highway until you reach the second exit for Canmore 1A. (approximately a 50 minute drive)
  • Take second exit for Canmore which is the 1A, when you come off the ramp turn right onto the Bow Valley Parkway/1A. Continue on this road until you hit the first set of lights and Railway Avenue . The A&W will be on your left side.
  • Turn left on Railway Ave go through the first set of lights past Sobey's and the first two buildings of Canmore Crossing. Turn right into the Safeway parking lot at 1160 Railway Avenue and a quick right again into the underground parkade for Canmore Crossing A Building. The elevators to access the unit is the A elevator. Parking is available straight ahead when you enter the parkade. You will require a entry code to gain access into the building. This information will be provided in the arrival package that will be sent 1 week prior to your arrival by email.

AIRPORTER SERVICE
Take a shuttle from the airport for a stress-free arrival. Check-in desk is located on the Arrivals Level of the Calgary International Airport , across from meeting area "C". www.banffairporter.com

CAR RENTAL
Enterprise or Thrifty are the least expensive car rental agencies available at Calgary International Airport .

QUIET TIME
Please respect our quiet time between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am .

NUMBER OF GUESTS
The fees quoted are for a maximum of 4 guests staying in the condo. An additional fee of $15.00 per person per night will apply additional guests. We will supply an inflatable bed for the living room.

CHECKING-IN/CHECKING OUT
Check-in time is after 2:00pm . I will provide all the information for keyless entry and you can check in at your convenience. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

PETS
We are happy to accept well-behaved pets. The charge for pets is $25.00 per stay.

SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted on the property or in the unit.

TELEPHONE CALLS
There is no charge for local calls (Canmore, Banff , Kananaskis Country and Exshaw). Long distance calls must be charged to the guest's calling card.

PARKING
Complimentary parking in the heated underground parkade is provided for one vehicle per condominium. All oversize vehicles and extra vehicles may be parked at the adjacent outside parking lot.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Of course we hope you don't have to change your vacation plans. However please take note of the following in case changes are unavoidable.

For reservations cancelled more than 30* days prior to arrival, 50% of the full amount of a reservation is refundable. Alternatively, reservations may be re-booked for another date within the following 12 months.

If cancelled between 16 - 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of the full balance of a reservation is refundable. If cancelled less than 16 days prior to arrival, the full amount of a reservation is non-refundable.

*Please note: Any amount paid for Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday reservations cancelled less than 46 days prior to arrival is non-refundable.

TAXES
Alberta is the only province in Canada without a provincial sales tax, making our province excellent value for your destination dollar. International guests will find the exchange on the Euro and American to Canadian dollars favorable, making Alberta an excellent choice.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a value added tax similar to systems used in 48 other counties. It is a broad based consumption tax, which applies a rate of seven percent to most goods and services purchased in Canada , regardless of whether the buyer is a resident or visitor to Canada . All visitors can claim back applicable GST on tangible goods you are carrying out of the country by heading to the GST counter in the departures level of Calgary International Airport . Be sure to save all of your receipts! The condominium is not subject to GST or the 5% Tourism Levy that is applicable in all hotels.

ITEMS LEFT AT PROPERTY
We do not accept responsibility for lost or stolen items. However, if an item is left at a condominium, we will notify you and if you wish, ship it to you for $10.00 plus any shipping and handling fees.

STANDARD KITCHEN ITEMS
You'll find all cooking utensils and cutlery are provided. You'll also find a starter pack of supplies such as salt, pepper, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent. However, we do ask that you use the honor system, i.e.: if you deplete an item during your stay, please replace it for the next guest.

HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeping is provided before and after each guest rental period. Daily housekeeping can also be arranged at a fee of $50 per day.

INVENTORY
We will provide full inventory list to be completed for each guest stay. Failure to complete the checklist constitutes confirmation that all items have been provided and are in good working order. After guest departure, any missing or damaged items may be charged to the guest's account.

LINENS AND TOWELS
Linens and towels are provided for the maximum number of people each condominium accommodates.

SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Sports equipment such as bikes, skis and snowboards are not permitted in the condominium. Secured, individual storage lockers and locks are provided.
